Can't wait to see it! Saturday can't get here soon enough. Been really itching to play again. Hope it's not too cold.

Default Field Picture

Here's a picture of the Central City field for those of you who haven't been there:

The orange marker is roughly where "The Cauldron" is located. (just northeast of the center of the field)
Mario's house is on the upper left.
The heart-shaped open area behind his house is the staging area/safe zone. The bottom point of the "heart" is one of two entrance points to the skirmish zone.
Notice how the entire property looks like a rectangle slanted to the left...
The clearer area off to the right is where the neighbor's property begins.

Buffalo Creek runs along the bottom and is the lower edge of the skirmish area.
Bunker #1 is to the left of the orange marker...near the shop by Mario's house.
Bunker #2 is southeast of the marker.

Basically, all of the forest area south of the heart-shaped staging area is where we play out our battles

I hope that gives you a good idea of what the forest is like.
Of course, it's much different when you're actually in it.

Exclamation Waiver Notarization For Minors

Quite a few people who attend our skirmishes at the Central City field are under age 18 and it can be a pain to have to have your parent or guardian sign the waiver for every single event.

We are now accepting notarized waivers for all minors.

Getting the waiver notarized is a simple and easy process.
Most banks have a notary public on staff and many of them will notarize your document for free. (call your local banks to verify)
You'll need to download and print out the waiver and then go into the bank with your parent or guardian. The notary will witness your signatures on the waiver and stamp it with a seal.

Then, all you need to do is bring the notarized waiver with you along with a valid photo i.d.
We'll keep the waiver on file and you'll never have to have your parents or guardian sign another one for at least one year.

Persons under age 16 must still be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of their stay.

Both the waiver and the download link have been updated to reflect this.

If no one has a battery you can use, go to CC Military Surplus in Central City. They sell batteries for AEG's.

Since I have found one other guy who will come with me, I will be coming.

I was also wondering if you do tennis ball grenades?

You can use tennis ball grenades.
Keep an eye on them because the forest will eat them if you don't.
Other pyrotechnic grenades will be allowed for this specific event. We normally don't allow them but since the forest floor is covered with snow, there's not nearly as much of a chance of a fire.
If anyone does bring pyrotechnics, please show them to me before the games begin so I can approve them.

More people are coming and it's looking like we've got between 20 and 30 players at the moment.

Went out today and bought two 6 foot tall aluminum flag poles. I also picked up some dark green cloth and some burgandy cloth that I will cut into flags.
Each bunker will have a flag.
These flags can be used simply as a flag planted in each base or for use in Capture the Flag games.

I also picked up some bright yellow cloth that I will cut into strips to tie around the barbed wire that lines part of the outer edge of the forest. The wire is hard to spot and you can only see it when you're right on top of it.
Two people got caught up in the wire last time and one person tore his pants on it so we don't want that happening again.

All three prizes arrived from Evike.com today.
I'll have small slips of paper for you when you arrive. You'll need to write your name down on it and then submit it for the drawings. Still not sure if we'll hold three seperate drawings or one big one at the end of the day. Probably three seperate ones.

My Bravo RDW arrived today and it's friggin' awesome! It shoots like a dream.
Can't wait to let loose with it.

It's gonna be a really fun time this weekend.
