Exclamation My Apologies

I wanted to sincerely apologize for my previous comments and am truly sorry if I offended anyone.

My main goal when hosting skirmishes is that everyone has a fun and safe time.
I thank all of you who have visited the Central City field and hope that you come back again to play.
You're always welcome.

(Note to self...no more drunk-posting!)

Default Thanks

I wanted to pass my thanks on to Ash for a good weekend game on Feb. 13.

The field had nicely plowed paths through the snow, which was appreciated when we had a quarter mile walk back up the hill. The hill got slippery as the day went on, but everyone used caution and warned others.

The assembly area and shooting range were well-organized. Radar and several other folks brought tarps to keep people and guns out of the snow. Radar also had the sense to bring a table, which was smart! Parking at Mario's place was very convenient as well.

Downtime was moderate. Just right most of the time with a few too-long gaps. The walk from the far bunker on the field up the hill to the assembly area took 10 minutes, so it took awhile for the players to march back when the games ended.

The large bunkers were pretty exposed from fire from above and had blind spots. Exploiting these weaknesses gave the attackers a chance.

There weren't any jerks on the field. Maybe I was a jerk... I might have been hit a few times and didn't realize it due to be bundled up. I was very liberal in calling myself out in this game.

Overall, I appreciate Ash's effort. I hope for future games in Central City.

Smile

Thank you so much for the kind words PeGee. Much appreciated.

The third video from this skirmish is now up on Youtube.
Check it out:

(I have one more video from this skirmish that will be coming up soon...watch for it)

I think for the next skirmish we will have a secondary and smaller "safe zone" on the other side of the forest...behind the far bunker.
That way, people won't have to march the long walk back to the main staging area. They can keep a small cache of guns, ammo, food, drink, or even a chair there if they need it.

We will also be building full-sized and fully enclosed pillboxes out on the field soon.
Want to help us build?
Let me know.

Check out this gun-cam video that Carlos shot at the Pre-Valentine's Day Massacre.
